Alert: Non-existent hovercraft for sale on eBay

There have been attempts to sell nonexistent hovercraft on eBay. The seller will list a like-new hovercraft at a fraction of its true value, demand a deposit of $1,000, then arrange a delivery point midway between the seller’s and buyer’s location. The seller then fails to appear at the delivery point, and disappears with the buyer’s deposit.

To avoid falling victim to this scam, do not pay a deposit on a hovercraft offered on eBay until you have personally seen the craft and contacted the manufacturer of the hovercraft to determine if the listed price is a realistic one.
